A patina is a coating that is formed on the surface of the metal due to chemical reactions. Here at BHA Architectural Metalwork Ltd, we are highly experienced in metal colouring and can coat different types of metal. The finished product can be buffed or polished. We use patinas to create special effects. We can also restore metal products to their former glory. We are proud of the work we do and enjoy a favourable reputation in the local area and across Essex.

David Broomfield

Co-founder

When it comes to dealing with metal there is very little that Dave cannot achieve. Since he could walk he has been going around bashing things with a hammer, at four years of age he managed to nail his Nanny Fox into her outside privy!
Dave has an innate vision and understanding of metal that allows him to see the finished article in a raw billet of material. With specialist skills in design, fabrication and installation of architectural metalwork projects.  
From working on cars at an early age to restoring antique artefacts, arms & armour along with many other valuable items. Having advised and worked on pieces for Sotheby’s and Christie’s auction houses with other commissions for work by Brown & Carroll London Ltd along with many other well named companies and private customers.

Sandra Broomfield

Co-founder

Sandra brings to the business her experience of finance with a ‘Foundation Certificate’ (ISMA-FCP) and accounting experience having attained an AAT Level 2 Certificate. Having worked in London for 20+ years involved in the settlement of commercial banking and private wealth management. Also well taught in the art of drinking and how to party, essential skills for life in the city!  
Lately having worked for accountants and private business learning payroll, procurement, health & safety etc., along with office management skills.

Stephen

Welder & Fabricator

The newest member of our team Stephen is an excellent welder keen to pursue his training into level 3 multi-positional welding.



Lee

Fabricator & Patina specialist

Colouring, special effects finishing and good all round fabricator.  The word NO represents a challenge to Lee, tell him it can’t be done and he’ll prove that it can!  Lee is a good man to have on our team and can generally turn is hand to anything.
